Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa ratified and issued Law (33) of 2026, which approves the accession of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Annex VI of the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships (MARPOL), 1973. This follows its approval by the Shura Council and the Council of Representatives.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Prime Minister and ministers are tasked with implementing the provisions of this law within their respective capacities. The law is set to become effective on the day following its publication in the Official Gazette.
