Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, visited the General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF). Upon his arrival, he was received by Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the BDF. Accompanying His Majesty were Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, and Colonel His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Commander of the Royal Guard Special Force.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the reception also included Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, Minister of Defence Affairs, and Lieutenant General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Chief of Staff of the BDF. During the visit, His Majesty was briefed on future plans to develop all BDF weapons and units. He expressed appreciation and pride in the BDF personnel for their dedication and commitment to fulfilling their national duties.
His Majesty further congratulated the winners of the final day of His Majesty the King's Shooting Championship for the Armed Forces, acknowledging the organisers' efforts and praising the BDF's sporting achievements. He wished all personnel continued success and instructed senior officers to convey his greetings to all BDF personnel.
