HM King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa Welcomes Pakistani Prime Minister

Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, accompanied by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, welcomed His Excellency Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, at Al Safriya Palace during his official visit to Bahrain.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Prime Minister of Pakistan conveyed greetings from His Excellency Asif Ali Zardari, President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, along with wishes for Bahrain's ongoing progress under the leadership of His Majesty the King. In response, HM the King sent his greetings and best wishes to President Zardari, hoping for the prosperity and development of the Pakistani people.

HM the King expressed pride in the strong historical ties between Bahrain and Pakistan, highlighting their continuous growth and commending the Prime Minister's efforts to enhance relations in various sectors. He emphasized Bahrain's support for Pakistan's security and stability, praised its management of internal affairs, and appreciated its support for Bahrain's United Nations Security Council bid.

The King acknowledged Pakistan's principled stance toward Bahrain, noting its support for Arab and Islamic causes and contributions to regional and global peace. Discussions also included regional and international developments of mutual interest, with a shared commitment to maintaining stability and peace.

As a gesture of appreciation for the Prime Minister's role in strengthening bilateral relations, HM the King awarded him the Order of Bahrain (Wisam al Bahrain), First Class. In response, the Prime Minister expressed gratitude for the hospitality, commending HM the King's dedication to enhancing relations and affirming Pakistan's commitment to cooperation across all sectors.

The visit concluded with a luncheon hosted by HM the King in honor of the Pakistani Prime Minister and his delegation.
