Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa sent a cable of congratulations to His Excellency Ahmed Al Sharaa, President of the Syrian Arab Republic.
According to Bahrain News Agency, His Majesty the King expressed his congratulations to HE President Al Sharaa and the Syrian people following the announcement by His Excellency Donald Trump, President of the United States, to lift economic sanctions on Syria. This decision came as a result of efforts by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
HM the King welcomed the decision, highlighting it as a significant step supporting Syria during a crucial phase in its modern history. He emphasized that the initiative would greatly aid HE President Al Sharaa's endeavors to secure stability and prosperity, fulfilling the aspirations of the Syrian people for development and progress. HM the King also wished the Syrian President continued success in his efforts.
