HH Southern Governor Engages with Young Innovators at Youth City 2030

Manama: His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Governor of the Southern Governorate, made an official visit to Youth City 2030, an event organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs in partnership with the Labour Fund (Tamkeen).

According to Bahrain News Agency, HH Shaikh Khalifa was warmly welcomed by Marwan Fouad Kamal, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth Affairs, alongside several ministry officials and event organizers. The visit also included representatives from the Southern Governorate.

During his visit, HH Shaikh Khalifa toured various key installations within Youth City 2030, including the Arts and Culture Station, the Science and Technology Centre, the Leadership and Entrepreneurship Station, the Media and Entertainment Centre, and the Summer Sports City. He received in-depth briefings on the programs and workshops being offered, as well as insights into their respective implementation mechanisms.

HH Shaikh Khalifa also took the opportunity to review the involvement of the Al Mabarrah Al Khalifia Foundation, a notable civil society organization in the Southern Governorate, and its contributions to the city's initiatives. Engaging with participants from the Southern Governorate, he listened to their feedback on the training experience and praised the high standard of organization, creativity, ambition, and dedication of the participants toward skill development.

The Southern Governor emphasized that the focus on the youth sector is a testament to the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the ongoing commitment of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in empowering Bahraini youth. This approach aims to enhance their capabilities and prepare them as a dynamic force for the Kingdom's comprehensive development.

Furthermore, HH Shaikh Khalifa acknowledged the significant contributions of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty's Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), in elevating the youth sector through various initiatives that nurture skills, creativity, and innovation.

The Southern Governor reiterated the Governorate's dedication to supporting youth initiatives and encouraging community involvement, underscoring its investment in people as a fundamental pillar of sustainable development.
