Manama: Mohammed Ali Al Qaed, Chief Executive of the Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA) and Chairman of the Government Service Centres Evaluation Committee, chaired the committee's first meeting since its reconstitution under Edict No. (32) of 2026. The meeting focused on preparations for the sixth round of the Government Service Centres Evaluation Programme, known as "Taqyeem 6."
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Qaed emphasized the committee's dedication to improving government service centres' performance and enhancing the customer experience. He acknowledged the valuable contributions of former committee members in strengthening the Government Service Centres Evaluation framework and improving the quality of government services.
Al Qaed praised the expertise of the current committee members and their ability to build on past achievements. He highlighted the importance of continuing to work collaboratively in the spirit of Team Bahrain, adopting international best practices, and fostering innovation in the evaluation process to advance government excellence in Bahrain.
During the meeting, Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa was endorsed as Vice Chair of the committee, and Fatima Hafez Barhoom was appointed as the committee's rapporteur. The committee discussed its roles and operations, the implementation plan for "Taqyeem 6," and the readiness of government service centres for evaluation, all aimed at enhancing the quality of services delivered to citizens and residents.
