Manama: Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor, Royal Guard Commander, and Secretary General of the Supreme Defence Council, paid a visit to the national cyber drill "Cyber Shield 2025," held under His Highness's patronage and organised by the National Cyber Security Centre. The drill was conducted under the theme "Supply Chain Attacks," with wide participation from various government agencies and private sectors.
According to Bahrain News Agency, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad was accompanied by Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, Deputy National Security Advisor and Deputy Secretary General of the Supreme Defence Council, and Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, CEO of the National Cyber Security Centre.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad underscored that the Kingdom of Bahrain continues to enhance its national cyber security capabilities, recognising it as a strategic priority to protect the Kingdom's achievements and to safeguard the comprehensive development process, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, with the support of the government headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad noted that the national cyber drill embodies the Kingdom's awareness and recognition of the importance of joint action and ongoing coordination among all parties to confront cyber challenges, which have emerged as the greatest security threat of the current era. His Highness commended the efforts of the Bahraini professionals taking part in the drill, commending their dedication to building a secure and resilient cyber environment in line with the Kingdom's aspirations for a digital future.
During the visit, His Highness was briefed on all the details of the drill's stages, its implementation mechanisms, and the advanced cyber aspects represented during the drill, which aim to enhance national readiness in the face of ever-increasing digital threats.
