Manama: Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, received a delegation from the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) Parliamentary Assembly, led by Lord Lancaster, Member of the United Kingdom's House of Lords and Chair of the Assembly's Defence and Security Committee.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Lt. Gen. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad highlighted the longstanding relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and NATO. He emphasized the importance of enhancing strategic partnerships with other countries and international organisations to support joint efforts aimed at advancing regional and international security, while laying the foundations of stability and peace in the region.
During the meeting, discussions were held on the current regional and international developments. Both parties exchanged views on the latest developments and stressed the need to intensify joint efforts to resolve ongoing regional and international conflicts, ensuring the preservation of global security and stability.
The meeting also addressed a range of topics and issues of common interest, emphasizing the importance of working towards achieving sustainable peace in the region and supporting all initiatives aimed at achieving development and prosperity for the benefit of its peoples.
