HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali Highlights Bahrain’s Readiness for 3rd Asian Youth Games

Manama: His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) for the 3rd Asian Youth Games and Vice President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, underscored that the Kingdom of Bahrain is on the verge of hosting a landmark Asian sporting event. The Games are set to take place from October 22-31, under the royal patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

According to Bahrain News Agency, HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali highlighted HM the King's steadfast support for sports in Bahrain, describing it as a cornerstone for the success of the Games. He also highlighted the guidance of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Supreme Organising Committee for the Games, as a key driver in ensuring the event is delivered to the highest international standard.

HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali expressed confidence in Bahrain's organisational teams, working in coordination with OCA, to deliver an unprecedentedly successful edition of the Games.

He emphasised that Bahrain has repeatedly proven its capability to host and organise continental and international sporting events, supported by advanced infrastructure and professional experience, ensuring an exceptional experience for athletes and delegations from across Asia.

HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali noted that organisational excellence is as important as competitive performance and expressed high expectations for Bahrain's young athletes to achieve notable results across various disciplines.

He also emphasised that Bahrain's youth represent the future of national sports and commended their dedication in preparation for the Games, highlighting their determination to showcase the Kingdom on international podiums.
