Gioya Higher Education Institution Official Commends Bahrain’s Global Coexistence Initiative

Manama: The United Nations General Assembly has designated January 28 as the International Day for Peaceful Coexistence, following an initiative led by the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence. The initiative highlights the importance of fostering harmony among nations, cultures, religions, and races. It invites UN member states, international organisations, civil society, and the media to observe the day through activities that reflect its objectives, with a particular focus on education as a means to instil the values of peaceful coexistence in future generations.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Maurits Van Rooijen, Chair of the Strategic Team and Board Member of Gioya Higher Education Institution, commended the initiative. He emphasised that peaceful coexistence is an ongoing commitment that should be embedded in education to inspire new generations.

The King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence continues to advance its efforts to promote peace through various initiatives and educational programmes. This international recognition reinforces the Kingdom of Bahrain's role as a global advocate for peace and mutual understanding.
