Manama: Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), commended the efforts of Bahrain's security authorities following the uncovering of a group linked to Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the ideology of Wilayat al-Faqih. Albudaiwi stated that the operation reflected the vigilance of Bahrain's security services and their efforts to safeguard the Kingdom's security and stability.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Albudaiwi reaffirmed the support of GCC member states for measures undertaken by the Kingdom of Bahrain to protect its sovereignty, security, and the safety of citizens and residents. He emphasized the importance of GCC countries in strengthening collective security cooperation and confronting threats to regional security and stability.
