Abu Dhabi: Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), met with Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament, on the sidelines of the meeting of the Speakers of the Shura, Representatives, National, and Ummah Councils of the GCC countries in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting focused on reviewing the latest developments in the region and exchanging views on these regional changes and their international implications.
Both parties also explored ways to enhance Gulf-European parliamentary relations. The discussions aimed at advancing these relations to broader horizons, supporting Gulf-European ties, and serving the common interests of both parties.
