Geneva: Jasem Mohamed Al Budaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), condemned and denounced the ongoing Iranian attacks against the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait, affirming that the attacks targeting civilian facilities, infrastructure, headquarters, and diplomatic missions constitute a dangerous and unprecedented escalation and reflect the Iranian regime's insistence on pursuing hostile policies that undermine the security, stability, and sovereignty of GCC member states.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Budaiwi affirmed that the continuation of these attacks reveals Iran's persistence in pursuing hostile policies aimed at undermining regional security, in blatant violation of international law, the Charter of the United Nations (UN), and established international norms.
He stressed that this requires a firm international stance to put an end to these dangerous Iranian aggressive practices. Al Budaiwi underscored that the security of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait is an integral part of the security of the GCC states, and that GCC member states stand united in confronting these attacks.
He affirmed the GCC states' full support for all measures and actions taken by the two countries to defend their security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
