BIBF Programmes Achieve Top “Confidence” Rating from BQA

Manama: The Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) announced that its Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes have received the "Confidence" rating from the Bahrain Education and Training Quality Authority (BQA). This is the highest judgement awarded by the authority in academic programme reviews across higher education institutions in the Kingdom.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the programmes delivered in partnership with Bangor University, the University of London, Strathclyde Business School, and DePaul University are designed to align with international academic standards and meet labour market requirements. Dr. Ahmed Alshaikh, Chief Executive Officer of BIBF, stated that the outcome underscores the institute's dedication to providing high-quality higher education, supporting efforts to enhance the quality of education in Bahrain.

Dr. Haifaa Khalaf, Head of Academic Studies at BIBF, emphasized that the rating reflects the quality of education offered by the institute. She mentioned that the continuous development of academic programmes and the focus on enhancing the learning experience ensure alignment with national standards. This independent evaluation offers students, parents, and stakeholders a clear indication of the quality of the academic environment at BIBF.

Dr. Maitham AlOraibi, Head of Quality Assurance at BIBF, highlighted the results as evidence of the effectiveness of the institute's academic and institutional quality framework. The framework is based on continuous evaluation, regular review, and ongoing enhancement of the educational experience. He noted that the assessment serves as an important indicator of the institutional systems supporting quality higher education.

This achievement signifies BIBF's ongoing contribution to Bahrain's higher education sector through an academic model based on recognised quality standards and international academic partnerships.
