GCC Sec Gen Condemns IRGC Infiltration into Kuwait’s Bubiyan Island

Kuwait city: Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), condemned in the strongest terms the infiltration of members of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) into Bubiyan Island in the State of Kuwait.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Albudaiwi noted that the hostile Iranian policies represent a direct threat to the security and stability of the region and a systematic attempt to destabilise regional peace and undermine the foundations of collective security, in clear violation of international law, the Charter of the United Nations, and the principles of good neighbourliness.

He reiterated the full support of GCC member states for the State of Kuwait in all measures undertaken to safeguard its security and stability, including the safety of its citizens and residents.
