Manama: The Kingdom of Bahrain has issued a strong condemnation of a terrorist plot allegedly linked to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which was aimed at undermining the security and stability of Kuwait. The plot involved an attempted illegal maritime infiltration through Kuwaiti territorial waters to conduct hostile activities. Bahrain's statement emphasized that this act represents a blatant violation of Kuwait's sovereignty, international laws, and principles of good neighborliness and poses a threat to regional peace and security.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bahrain expressed full solidarity with Kuwait and pledged unwavering support for all measures undertaken by Kuwait to safeguard its security and protect its residents. The Ministry praised the alertness and effectiveness of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces and security services in thwarting the plot and extended wishes for a swift recovery to the injured member of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces.
The Ministry reiterated its call for international intervention, particularly urging the United Nations Security Council to demand that Iran halt its hostile activities and terrorist plans. It underscored the importance of Iranian adherence to international law, the UN Charter, UN Security Council Resolution 2817, and UN Human Rights Council Resolution 61/1 to ensure stability both regionally and globally.
