Sharjah: Authorities in Sharjah responded to an incident targeting Khorfakkan Port, which resulted in four injuries due to falling fragments following a successful interception by the United Arab Emirates air defence systems, the Sharjah Government Media Bureau said.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the bureau said in a statement that one Nepali national sustained severe injuries and was transported to the hospital to receive necessary treatment, while three Pakistani nationals sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate.
Emergency response teams have successfully contained a fire at the site with high efficiency, the bureau statement said, citing concerned authorities. The statement added that cooling operations are currently underway to ensure the safety of facilities at the vital port.
