Ambassador to Seoul Engages in Strategic Talks with Korea’s Deputy Prime Minister

Seoul: Saud Hassan Ali Al Nusuf, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Republic of Korea, took part in a meeting of the ambassadors from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries accredited to Korea with Koo Yun-cheol, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Korea. The meeting focused on strengthening economic ties and addressing regional security concerns.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Deputy Prime Minister expressed Korea's concern over developments in the Middle East, particularly the potential closure of the Strait of Hormuz. He emphasized Korea's solidarity with GCC countries and conveyed hopes for a swift restoration of security and stability in the region.

Discussions during the meeting also covered avenues for enhancing joint coordination and advancing economic and investment cooperation. Both parties explored opportunities to bolster public-private partnerships, especially in key sectors like infrastructure and advanced industries.

The GCC ambassadors reiterated their commitment to maintaining close coordination with Korea, aiming to strengthen the strategic partnership. This collaboration seeks to promote mutual interests while supporting regional and international security and stability.
