Ljubljana: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, participated in a dialogue session organized by the Bled Strategic Forum in Slovenia's capital, Ljubljana. The session included participation from Tanja Fajon, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovenia.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the dialogue session also saw the attendance of Ayman Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan, and Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Egypt. Dr. Danilo Trk, the former President of Slovenia, opened the session by addressing the longstanding conflicts in the Middle East and highlighting Slovenia's dedication to achieving just and comprehensive peace, particularly by resolving the Palestinian issue.
The Arab foreign ministers praised the outcomes of their earlier discussions with Slovenia's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister. The ministers stressed the significance of enhancing both collective and bilateral cooperation to foster relations grounded on mutual understanding, shared values, and common interests. They expressed gratitude for Slovenia's supportive stance on just Arab causes.
The ministers also acknowledged the United States administration's efforts to secure a ceasefire in Gaza and expedite humanitarian aid delivery. They emphasized the necessity of launching the second phase of the peace plan proposed by United States President Donald Trump and taking steps toward Gaza's reconstruction and recovery.
Further, the ministers highlighted the importance of revitalizing the Middle East peace process to achieve a just, lasting, and comprehensive peace by implementing international resolutions related to the two-state solution and supporting the Palestinian people's legitimate rights to establish an independent state.
