New york: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Johann Wadephul, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, at the United Nations headquarters in New York on the sidelines of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly. The meeting was aimed at discussing the strong relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Germany, focusing on the enhancement of bilateral cooperation in political, economic, and cultural sectors to benefit both nations.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussions also covered important regional and international issues that are of mutual interest to both countries. The meeting was attended by key officials including Jamal Fares Al Ruwaiei, Bahrain's Permanent Representative to the UN in New York, and Khaled Yousef Al Jalahma, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs.
