New york: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, participated in the International Conference on Implementing the Two-State Solution, held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the conference is jointly organised by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the French Republic, and co-chaired by His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, and Jean-No«l Barrot, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, with the presence of Ant³nio Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations.
The event brought together heads of government and foreign ministers from various countries, alongside representatives of international organisations and UN agencies, including the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), the World Food Programme (WFP), the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), the World Bank, and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The conference reviewed the outcomes of thematic roundtables and working groups conducted under the high-level international initiative. It served as a platform to align key perspectives, highlight areas of convergence across political, legal, economic, and humanitarian tracks, and define concrete, actionable steps for future efforts.
The conference aims to establish a foundation for sustained international engagement, effective implementation, and accountability in support of a just and lasting peace in the Middle East.
