Finance Ministry Undersecretary Leads Bahrain Delegation at Strategic Dialogue with UAE

Abu dhabi: Yousif Abdullah Al Humood, Undersecretary for Financial Affairs at the Ministry of Finance and National Economy, led Bahrain's delegation in the inaugural strategic financial dialogue between Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, held in the UAE. The UAE delegation was led by Younis Haji Al Khoori, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Finance of the United Arab Emirates.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the dialogue was part of an executive plan to activate the memorandum of understanding signed between the two nations in November 2024. This initiative is aimed at enhancing financial cooperation and integration, strengthening bilateral relations, exchanging expertise, and fostering technical cooperation. The dialogue served as a platform to launch joint initiatives and programs, with a focus on their implementation and evaluation.

During the meeting, Yousif Al Humood emphasized the historical ties and deep-rooted relations between Bahrain and the UAE. He acknowledged the continued support and attention given to these relations by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.

Al Humood also underscored the close financial and economic collaboration between the two countries, particularly through development projects financed by the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development. These projects span key sectors such as health, housing, energy, water, infrastructure, and transport, contributing to economic development in Bahrain and reflecting the strategic partnership between the two nations.

The meeting also reviewed several joint development initiatives and programs underway in both Bahrain and the UAE. Additionally, it highlighted the exchange of expertise in support of shared aspirations and interests.
