Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Engages in Strategic Dialogues at Saudi Water Week

Manama: Yasser bin Ibrahim Humaidan, Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs, participated in the ministerial meetings held as part of the first Saudi Water Week in Jeddah.

According to Bahrain News Agency, during the second stakeholder consultation meeting for the 11th World Water Forum, the Minister emphasized the Kingdom of Bahrain's support for Arab and international efforts to strengthen water security and develop innovative solutions to address challenges related to climate change, population growth, and increasing water demand. He also underlined the importance of strengthening Arab cooperation, investing in artificial intelligence and modern technologies, and exchanging expertise to enhance the sustainability and efficiency of water resource management.

The Minister also participated in the ministerial session of the 7th Arab Water Forum, where he highlighted Bahrain's experience in water sector governance, including the role of the Water Resources Council and the National Water Strategy in advancing the use of treated wastewater, preserving groundwater resources, and enhancing the sector's financial sustainability.
