Industry Minister Chairs Joint GCC Meeting on Commercial and Industrial Cooperation

Manama: Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, chaired the joint meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Commercial Cooperation Committee and Industrial Cooperation Committee. The meeting, conducted via videoconference, was part of the Kingdom of Bahrain's presidency of the 46th session of the GCC. It witnessed the participation of GCC ministers of commerce and industry and Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the GCC.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the minister emphasized that the meeting was held to implement the decisions issued by the GCC Supreme Council at the Jeddah Summit. He underscored the significance of strengthening Gulf coordination to promote economic integration, support growth, enhance the commercial and industrial sectors, and fortify the resilience of strategic sectors amid evolving regional and international challenges.

The meeting reviewed several agenda items with the aim of bolstering commercial and industrial cooperation among GCC member states. It focused on advancing Gulf economic integration and enhancing coordination in the logistics sector and other strategic domains.
