Manama: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi of the Arab Republic of Egypt met with Michael Randrianirina, President of Madagascar, in El Alamein City. Both sides discussed means to strengthen bilateral relations and expand prospects for joint cooperation across various domains.
According to Middle East News Agency (MENA), the meeting addressed enhancing cooperation between the two countries within the framework of the African Union, as well as reviewing regional and international issues of common interest, while emphasizing the importance of supporting African countries in addressing the impact of climate change.
Following the talks, the two leaders witnessed the signing of five memoranda of understanding between the two countries covering the domains of politics, investment, maritime transport and port development, artificial intelligence and digital transformation, and youth and sports.
