Manama: Shaikh Khalid bin Ali bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Supreme Judicial Council and President of the Court of Cassation, welcomed Judge Mohammed Abdulmohsen Mansour, Head of the Technical Office, as they launched an extensive digital collection of judicial principles spanning 36 years.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the newly released digital publications document the key legal principles established by the Court of Cassation in both civil and criminal cases from 1990 to 2026. This initiative has resulted in a comprehensive collection that covers a broad spectrum of legal topics. The civil law series addresses areas such as contract law, case management, personal status, labour disputes, tenancy, agency law, inheritance, and commercial instruments. Meanwhile, the criminal law series concentrates on offences related to drugs, psychotropic substances, and money laundering.
This new collection brings the total number of specialised legal publications from the Technical Office to 21, comprising 14 titles in civil law and seven in criminal law. These resources are accessible through the Supreme Judicial Council's website, offering an interactive digital platform for users to search judicial principles by keywords, legal topics, legislation, or the year of judgment. Furthermore, the digital format links legislative provisions directly to interpretations by the Court of Cassation and is regularly updated to include new rulings without the need for new editions.
Shaikh Khalid commended the Technical Office for their dedicated efforts in developing these publications, highlighting their significance as a valuable reference that enhances access to the Court of Cassation's jurisprudence. He noted that they are a vital resource for legal practitioners, researchers, and anyone interested in understanding Bahrain's judicial system.
