Cairo: Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Egyptian Expatriates, held a telephone call with Anita Anand, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the call discussed the overall bilateral relations between the Arab Republic of Egypt and Canada. The ministers also addressed means to develop areas of cooperation, in addition to a number of regional developments.
Foreign Ministry Spokesman Tamim Khallaf said that Dr. Abdelatty emphasised the aspiration to enhance economic and trade relations between the two countries, and to encourage Canadian companies to invest in Egypt, especially in the sectors of energy, agriculture, and water resources.
