Egypt and Italy Forge Stronger Ties with New Electricity Agreement

Cairo: Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates, highlighted the robust ties between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Italian Republic during a joint press conference with Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani. The conference, held in Cairo, was also attended by Egyptian Minister of Electricity and Energy Dr. Mahmoud Esmat.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussions between the two nations focused on enhancing political, economic, and trade cooperation, culminating in the signing of an agreement in the electricity sector. The agreement marks a significant step in strengthening the bilateral relations between Egypt and Italy.

The dialogue also included Egypt's strategy for promoting stability across Africa and the Middle East, a region of strategic importance to both countries. Dr. Abdelatty noted that the meeting between Tajani and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi underscored the commitment of both nations to further develop their partnership, particularly in the economic and investment arenas.
