Education Ministry directs remote learning during the suspension of classes

The Ministry of Education has directed schools to comply with the measures announced by the National Medical Taskforce for Combating COVID-19, and which were approved by the Executive Committee, regarding the suspension of students’ in-person attendance at all public and private schools, higher education institutions, and kindergartens, and switch to remote learning, from May 30 until June 10.

In a statement today, the Communication Centre at the Ministry of Education said that the measures do not apply to students’ attendance of international exams.

As for the attendance of affiliates of Governmental and private schools, higher education institutions, kindergartens, and the personnel of ministry’s departments and sectors, the ministry directed to commit to the remote work policy, which applies to all government bodies, at a rate of 70%, and to prepare the necessary schedules to implement this policy during the prescribed period, and to inform employees about it.
