Education Minister Joins Ceremony for New Alliance Fran§aise Bahrain Building

Manama: Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education, attended the foundation stone laying ceremony for the new Alliance Fran§aise Bahrain building in Adliya, Manama, organised by the Embassy of the French Republic to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The event was also attended by Eric Giraud-Telme, Ambassador of France to Bahrain, alongside French Senate members Olivier Cadic and R©my Pointereau, and Nathalie Delattre, Minister Delegate for Relations with Parliament.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Juma highlighted the longstanding relations between Bahrain and France, focusing on education and culture. He praised the role of the Alliance Fran§aise in teaching the French language in Bahrain and strengthening cultural ties between the two nations. Dr. Juma expressed hopes that the new building would further extend the reach of the Alliance's programmes and activities.

Ambassador Giraud-Telme acknowledged the robust bilateral relations and appreciated the support of the Bahraini government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for joint educational and cultural initiatives. He also lauded the Ministry of Education's efforts in enhancing cooperation in the education sector.

French Senate member Olivier Cadic, representing French citizens abroad, and Ahmed Al Jawahery, Chairman of the Alliance Fran§aise in Bahrain, also provided remarks. They outlined the vision for the new building and the organisation's future plans. The ceremony concluded with the Education Minister touring an exhibition with the French Ambassador and other guests, where they viewed preliminary designs and a presentation film on the project.
