Dubai Ruler’s Court Race for Elite Cyclists Begins Sunday

Dubai: Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, the 'Dubai Ruler's Court Race' for elite male cyclists will begin on 19 January. Organised by the Private Office of HH the Ruler of Dubai, the race forms part of the 9th Al Salam Cycling Championship, the world's largest community cycling event in terms of diversity and prize value.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the 193-kilometer race starts at noon from the historic Al Fahidi District, passing through iconic landmarks such as the Old Dubai Customs Building, Dubai Creek, Al Seef Street, Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, Dubai Frame, Future Street, Emirates Towers, the Museum of the Future, and Za'abeel Palace, before concluding at Al Marmoom Conservation Reserve.

The Supreme Organising Committee, chaired by Omair bin Jumaa Al Falasi, Director General of the Private Office of HH the Ruler of Dubai, has finalized preparations to ensure the race meets the highest standards. Participant safety and showcasing Dubai's cultural and historical heritage remain key priorities. Starting the race from HH the Ruler's Court highlights its symbolic importance as a cornerstone of Dubai's development.

The 9th Al Salam Cycling Championship, which began in December, also includes the Desert Race on 9 February and the Women's Race on 16 February. The championship opened with the 'Sword of Honour' Race for Emirati amateur cyclists, celebrating the graduation of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, where he achieved multiple prestigious awards.
