Director General of School Affairs congratulates Bahraini students on winning ALECSO award

A number of students from the Kingdom of Bahrain’s public schools, who are part of a delegation participating in the “ALECSO Olympiad” competitions held by the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) , won the award for the best research in terms of social impact.

On this occasion, the Education Ministry Director General of School Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Mubarak bin Ahmed, congratulated the student Sharifa Al-Thawadi from Zenobia Intermediate School for Girls and the school Director Nasreen Redha Haidar, the student Zahra Mustafa from Al-Malikiyah Primary Intermediate School for Girls and the school Director Wedad Al-Benghadir Al-Dosari, the student Abdullah Bujiri from Al-Hidd Primary Intermediate School for Boys and the school Director Yousef Yaqoub Al-Qooz, as well as Shaikha Al-Sherooqi, the educational specialist in the Department of Educational Operations, who is accompanying the delegation, on the accomplishment.

The Bahraini students, who won the award, were honored in a ceremony held at the headquarters of ALECSO, in the Republic of Tunisia. They participated in the competitions as part of 18 student delegations from various Arab countries.

The Director General of School Affairs praised the high academic level of the Bahraini students which entitles them to compete in various regional and international contests. He pointed out the developed educational system in the Kingdom of Bahrain and its focus on academic acquisition and honing skills and capabilities.
