Director General of Criminal Investigation Engages in Inaugural GCC-EU Security Meeting

Manama: Brigadier Abdulaziz Al Rumaihi, Director General of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science, recently took part in the inaugural meeting of the Gulf-European Directors General of Investigation and Criminal Affairs. This significant gathering focused on pivotal security issues and facilitated an exchange of best practices in crime prevention and law enforcement.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Brigadier Al Rumaihi extended the greetings of General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, emphasizing that the meeting is a continuation of ongoing Gulf security dialogues. These discussions aim to help security agencies adjust to emerging challenges through strategic planning and scientific methods. He highlighted the GCC states' dedication to safeguarding security, stability, and progress amidst global challenges.

Brigadier Al Rumaihi stressed the importance of combating crime and curbing its spread to ensure a secure and prosperous future. He underscored the critical nature of the meeting, which occurs during a time of significant global challenges, thereby placing a substantial responsibility on all involved parties.

He also pointed out the necessity for vigilance, readiness, and collaboration to maintain security and stability while preserving core values, economic and cultural achievements, and Arab heritage. With crime transcending borders and becoming more intricate due to globalisation, technological advancements, and artificial intelligence, the Director General highlighted the increasing complexity of the security landscape.
