Manama: Abdulla Mohamed Alahmed, CEO of the Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat), convened the third meeting of the Scientific Research Committee on Cybersecurity. The meeting was dedicated to reviewing the committee's work plan for the years 2026 - 2027, focusing on bolstering scientific research and enhancing national cooperation in the cybersecurity domain.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the committee consists of experts and representatives from key institutions including the National Cyber Security Center, the University of Bahrain, the Arabian Gulf University, Bahrain Polytechnic, and the Nasser Centre for Science and Technology. The meeting agenda included discussions on the planned "Think Talk" seminars, the development of research papers, as well as organizing workshops and conducting opinion surveys. These initiatives aim to support scientific research and fortify national cybersecurity capabilities.
Participants at the meeting evaluated the work plan and its execution strategies, considering feedback and suggestions from committee members. They also explored avenues for collaboration among the member institutions. This collaboration is intended to ensure that each entity contributes effectively to the implementation of initiatives and research projects, aligning with the Kingdom's national cybersecurity goals.
