Manama: The Steering Committee for Information Systems at the Ministry of Labour convened its regular meeting, chaired by Yousif bin Abdulhussain Khalaf, Minister of Labour and Minister of Legal Affairs. The minister underscored the importance of adopting innovative solutions and emerging technologies to advance government services, improve operational efficiency, and support the government's digital transformation objectives.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the committee reviewed the Smart Employment Guide, the winning project in the seventh edition of the Fikra Government Innovation Competition, presented by Jalal Jafar Maki, Senior Legal Researcher at the Ministry of Legal Affairs. The initiative is designed to support the employment of Bahraini jobseekers through an AI-powered platform that matches candidates with suitable vacancies and recommends tailored training pathways based on labour market demand, helping improve employment services and the overall user experience.
The committee discussed plans to implement the initiative as part of the ministry's digital transformation programme to further enhance government performance. The meeting also reviewed progress on the ministry's digital transformation projects and technology initiatives under its strategic plan, as well as performance indicators and proposals to further improve service delivery and institutional efficiency.
