Deputy Prime Minister of Bahrain Engages with Omani Housing Minister on Future Cooperation

Manama: Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister of Bahrain, welcomed Dr. Khalfan bin Saeed Al Shuaili, the Omani Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, to discuss Bahrain's housing plans and explore opportunities for collaboration with private sector entities.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting was also attended by Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Bahrain's Minister of Housing and Urban Planning. Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla highlighted the enduring relationship between Bahrain and Oman, underscoring their mutual respect, shared heritage, and social connections. He credited the strengthened ties to the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Oman's Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said.

Shaikh Khalid further acknowledged the efforts of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, alongside His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Oman's Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, in fostering cooperation aimed at boosting development and prosperity in both nations.

He expressed Bahrain's interest in deepening cooperation with Oman, especially in the area of social housing, to create integrated housing solutions that align with national strategies and shared developmental objectives. He emphasized the significance of synchronizing visions between the two countries to enhance Gulf development initiatives in housing, urban planning, and sustainable development, advocating for housing policies that improve quality of life and address developmental needs.

Dr. Al Shuaili praised the robust growth in Bahraini-Omani relations and acknowledged the significant advancements in Bahrain's social housing sector. He conveyed his wishes for Bahrain's continued progress and prosperity.
