Speaker: GCC Is a Model of Strategic Partnership for a Prosperous Future

Manama: Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, has extended his congratulations to Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), on the occasion of the 44th anniversary of the Council's establishment. Al Musallam emphasized the GCC's role as a strategic partnership framework aimed at fostering a prosperous future for its member states and their citizens, under the leadership of the GCC nations' rulers.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Musallam praised the visionary leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the active engagement of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He highlighted their efforts in promoting Gulf cooperation and supporting development initiatives that are based on shared objectives and strong relationships among the GCC countries.

Al Musallam also pointed out the significant contribution of Gulf parliaments and legislative councils in enhancing the cooperative framework of the GCC. He noted their efforts in coordinating positions at international parliamentary forums and advancing the collective interests of the region's nations and peoples.

He expressed optimism for further advancement and prosperity for the GCC under its unified leadership. Al Musallam reiterated Bahrain's commitment to ongoing Gulf cooperation that benefits both current and future generations.
