Manama: Dr. Hassan Eid Bu Khammas, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security Committee in the Council of Representatives, affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain expresses its full solidarity with the State of Qatar and condemns in the strongest terms the attack that targeted its sovereignty and airspace by Iran, in a clear violation of international law and the United Nations Charter.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Bu Khammas emphasized that Bahrain's position on the security and safety of Qatar is firm, stemming from the historic ties between the two countries. He noted that these relations require standing by Qatar in the face of any threat to its sovereignty or stability.
Dr. Bu Khammas affirmed that the relations between Bahrain and Qatar, along with Gulf unity, necessitate solidarity in confronting any external aggression and strengthening efforts to maintain the security and stability of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries (GCC).
