Manama: More than 398,000 visitor arrivals from China were recorded in Singapore in August, making it the city-state's top source market, the Singapore Tourism Board said on Monday.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Singapore recorded a total of 1.6 million international visitor arrivals last month, marking a 4.5 percent increase compared to the same month in 2024. This highlights a steady growth in international tourism to Singapore, with China continuing to play a significant role.
For the first eight months of 2025, China maintained its position as Singapore's main source market, contributing 2.3 million arrivals. This was followed by Indonesia and India, further establishing the importance of Asian markets in Singapore's tourism sector.
Overall, international arrivals from January to August reached 11.6 million, representing a 2.7 percent increase from the same period last year. This growth underscores Singapore's appeal as a global tourist destination and its successful recovery efforts in the tourism industry.
