Manama: Lieutenant General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Chief of Staff, attended the inauguration of the Commando Obstacle Course of the Marine Infantry Battalion at the Royal Bahraini Naval Force.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the ceremony was attended by His Highness Lieutenant Colonel Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa, Commander of the Marine Infantry Company, alongside senior Bahrain Defence Force officers. The event coincided with celebrations marking the 58th anniversary of the establishment of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF).
The Chief of Staff emphasized that the BDF continues to evolve and modernize its units and military facilities through advanced training fields and modern infrastructure. This development aligns with the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, and the continuous follow-up of Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the BDF.
Following the opening ceremony, the Chief of Staff and HH Lieutenant Colonel Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad conducted an inspection tour of the facility, reviewing its equipment and training capabilities.
HH Lieutenant Colonel Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad stated that the BDF is committed to enhancing its readiness and capabilities at all levels. He noted that the new obstacle course represents a significant addition to advanced military training, strengthening the operational readiness of the Marine Infantry and improving their ability to carry out assigned duties efficiently and professionally.
His Highness added that the facility provides an integrated training environment designed to simulate challenging field conditions, contributing to the development of both physical and mental skills. He expressed appreciation to all those involved in the project's implementation.
