Manama: Lieutenant-General Tariq Hasan Al Hasan, Chief of Public Security and Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Royal Academy of Police, engaged in discussions with a delegation from the University of Huddersfield to explore avenues for academic cooperation.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting was attended by Professor Monty Adkins, Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Research and Innovation at the University of Huddersfield, and Dr. Mostafa Al Qadi, Director of Research and Innovation Projects at the university. The discussions focused on the university's contribution to the Royal Academy of Police through specialised security programmes, workshops, and training courses aimed at advancing human capital and improving performance.
Lieutenant-General Al Hasan highlighted directives from His Excellency Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, emphasizing the ongoing development of the ministry's training and academic institutions. These efforts are part of a broader strategy to build institutional capacity and enhance capabilities to effectively address emerging security challenges and combat organised and transnational crime with high standards of professionalism and efficiency.
The meeting further explored opportunities to bolster academic and research cooperation between the Royal Academy of Police and the University of Huddersfield. Discussions also included future plans to enhance the Academy's educational system and ensure the quality of its academic outcomes.
