CBB’s Monthly Issue of Treasury Bills Oversubscribed by 234%

Manama: The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) has announced that the BD 35 million monthly issue of Government Treasury Bills has been oversubscribed by 234%. The bills, which carry a maturity of 182 days, are issued by the CBB on behalf of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The issue date of the bills is March 23, and they will mature on September 21.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the weighted average rate of interest for this issue is 5.28%, showing a slight decrease from the previous issue's rate of 5.39% on February 23. The approximate average price for the current issue stands at 97.402%, with the lowest accepted price recorded at 97.366%.

This issuance is designated as issue No. 2061 (ISIN BH0005907538) of Government Treasury Bills. With this latest issuance, the total outstanding value of Government Treasury Bills has reached BD 2.110 billion.
