CBB Treasury Bills Oversubscribed by 137% in Latest Issue

Manama: This week's BD 70 million issue of Government Treasury Bills has been oversubscribed by 137%. The bills, which have a maturity period of 91 days, are issued by the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain. They are set to be issued on December 4, 2024, with a maturity date of March 5.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the weighted average rate of interest for this issue stands at 5.77%, slightly down from the previous issue's rate of 5.80% on November 27, 2024. The approximate average price for the current issue was recorded at 98.563%, with the lowest accepted price being 98.535%.

This is issue No. 2046 (ISIN BH0003F49984) of Government Treasury Bills, and with this addition, the total outstanding value of Government Treasury Bills has reached BD 2.110 billion.
