Manama: The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) has announced that its latest monthly issuance of six-month short-term Ijara Murabaha Sukuk was oversubscribed by 135%.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the subscriptions totalled BD 67.639 million for the BD 50 million issue. This particular issue has a maturity period of 182 days. The expected return on this issue, commencing on 2nd April 2026 and maturing on 1st October 2026, stands at 5.24%, which marks an increase from the 4.98% return of the previous issue on 5th March 2026.
The Ijara Murabaha Sukuk is issued by the CBB on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain. This issuance is designated as issue 6IM/8 (BH000Y57X735) within the series of short-term Ijara Murabaha Sukuk.
