Manama: His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, visited the Bahrain junior national basketball team ahead of its overseas training camp in Bosnia. This camp is part of their preparations for the GCC U16 Basketball Championship, which Bahrain will host from July 7 to 12, 2025. The visit was attended by Nader Al Awadhi, Vice President of the Bahrain Basketball Association, and several board members.
According to Bahrain News Agency, during the meeting, HH Shaikh Isa conveyed the greetings of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, to the players and the technical and administrative staff. HH encouraged them to benefit fully from the training camp, which runs from June 21 to July 4, and expressed confidence in their ability to represent Bahraini basketball with distinction.
HH Shaikh Isa highlighted the importance of youth development and emphasised the Bahrain Olympic Committee's support for national teams in cooperation with the Bahrain Basketball Association.
