St. Petersburg: Bahrain's official delegation, led by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, is participating as the Guest of Honour at the 28th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2025). The event is taking place in the Russian Federation from June 18 to 21, under the theme "Shared Values: The Foundation of Growth in a Multipolar World".
According to Bahrain News Agency, the delegation comprises key figures, including Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy; Aymen bin Tawfeeq Almoayed, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports; and Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak Bin Dainah, Minister of Oil and Environment. Other notable members include Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce; Ahmed Abdulrahman Al Saati, Bahrain's Ambassador to the Russian Federation; and Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa, President of Customs.
The delegation also features representatives from Bahrain's private sector, with participation from the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Gulf Air, GFH Financial Group, and Al Salam Bank.
Since its inception in 2006, SPIEF has been a significant platform for international dialogue and business development, held under the patronage of the President of the Russian Federation. It emphasizes the strengths of participating countries and organizations, fostering cooperation and expertise exchange among global decision makers.
As Guest of Honour, Bahrain is hosting a dedicated pavilion to highlight its role as a regional hub of innovation, culture, and opportunity. The delegation's schedule includes cultural events and business meetings with participants and policymakers across various sectors.
