Manama: Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), known as 'the Home of Motorsport in the Middle East', is gearing up to host the One Lap Challenge to support the Race Against Dementia charity on April 5. This event is scheduled just ahead of the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2025, which will occur from April 11-13.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the event is being organized in collaboration with the British Embassy in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), and Formula 1. The initiative aims to raise funds for Race Against Dementia, a charity established by legendary British racing driver Sir Jackie Stewart.
BIC will open its gates at 8:15 am on Saturday. Attendees can enjoy a live viewing of the Japanese Grand Prix qualifying session at 9 am, while the on-track lap is set to begin at 10:15 am and will continue until 11:40 am.
Participation fees are set at BD5 for individuals aged 13 and above, and BD2 for children under 13. Participants will complete one lap around the circuit, with adults choosing between walking or running, while children under 13 can walk or cycle.
