Bahrain’s National Volunteering Campaign Mobilizes Over 60,000 Volunteers

Manama: With over 60,000 registered, ‘Bahrain is Well Because You Are Its People’ campaign volunteers start assignments. A number of registered volunteers with the National Volunteering Platform have commenced field assignments across various locations.

According to Bahrain News Agency, more than 60,000 volunteers have registered through the campaign, which provides an opportunity for citizens and residents eager to contribute to volunteer work. This initiative supports national efforts following the Iranian attacks targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The remaining volunteers will be deployed in stages through an organised mechanism that considers the nature of volunteer opportunities and the relevant specialisations. Procedures include reviewing applications, assessing volunteers’ qualifications and expertise, and aligning them with suitable assignments to ensure effective utilisation of their skills.

Volunteer opportunities available through the campaign span several fields, such as health, engineering, logistics, administration, and monitoring. These roles, along with other specialisations, are activated according to need. Tasks include supporting the operation and management of shelter centres, assisting in addressing damage in affected areas, contributing to rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts in Sitra, and providing support to elderly citizens in meeting their daily needs, showcasing the spirit of solidarity and cooperation within Bahraini society.

Authorities will contact additional volunteers in phases according to organisational arrangements and the availability of opportunities in the areas they registered for through the National Volunteering Platform.
