UAE Aviation Operations Recover to 44.6% of Normal Levels

Abu dhabi: The United Arab Emirates announced that air traffic across its airspace and airports is gradually returning to normal operational levels following the professional management of exceptional circumstances in the region, the Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) stated that more than 1.4 million passengers were served through the country’s airports between March 1 and 12. Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Chairman of the Board of the GCAA, noted that the aviation system maintained the continuity of air transport operations while ensuring the highest safety standards for travellers.

The authority added that 7,839 air traffic movements were recorded in UAE airspace during the same period. UAE national carriers restored about 44.6% of their normal operational levels, reflecting the sector’s gradual return to regular flight operations.
