Bahrain’s Active Diplomatic and Government Engagements Highlighted in Press Review


Manama: Bahraini daily newspapers today focused on events that happened over the past 24 hours, showcasing a series of significant diplomatic and governmental engagements.



According to Bahrain News Agency, His Majesty the King of Bahrain engaged in a phone call with the President of Egypt, underscoring the close ties and ongoing communication between the two nations. Additionally, His Royal Highness the Deputy King held meetings with several newly appointed directors across various government entities, marking a period of transition and new leadership within the governmental framework.



The Deputy Prime Minister of Bahrain also played a pivotal role in international relations by receiving the Director General of the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority from the United Arab Emirates. This meeting highlights Bahrain’s commitment to strengthening ties with neighboring countries and fostering regional cooperation.



Further emphasizing Bahrain’s engagement with international organizations, His Royal Highness the Deputy King met with the World Health Organization’s Regional Director for the Eastern Mediterranean. This meeting underscores Bahrain’s focus on health and regional collaboration in addressing health challenges.



The Kingdom’s dedication to educational and cultural initiatives was evident under the patronage of His Highness Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, as the University of Bahrain concluded its first “Molhem” Forum. This event signifies the country’s investment in fostering innovation and thought leadership.



In other diplomatic activities, the Information Minister of Bahrain received the outgoing Arab League Assistant Secretary General, indicating a continued commitment to active participation in regional diplomatic dialogues. The CEO of the National Communication and Strategy Team also met with the Acting Deputy Chief of Mission at the US Embassy, highlighting ongoing bilateral relations between Bahrain and the United States.



Under the patronage of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the inauguration of Amana Healthcare Bahrain in Al Jasra was announced, reflecting the Kingdom’s ongoing investment in healthcare infrastructure and services.



The President of the Supreme Council of Health opened the fourth Manama Health Congress and Expo, demonstrating Bahrain’s commitment to advancing health sector discussions and solutions.



In a notable diplomatic gesture, Bahrain’s Ambassador to the Vatican presented credentials to His Holiness Pope Leo XIV, further solidifying the Kingdom’s international diplomatic presence.



Bahrain also expressed condolences to the Republic of Iraq over the victims of floods in the Kurdistan Region and to the Kingdom of Morocco over the victims of a building collapse in Fez, showcasing solidarity and support in times of crisis.



In economic engagements, the Finance and National Economy Minister met with the UAE Assistant Minister for Cabinet Affairs for Competitiveness and Knowledge Exchange and received the Chairman of Gulf International Bank, indicating ongoing efforts to strengthen economic ties and knowledge sharing.
